Vision

Our vision is to give people the power to collectively solve the world’s toughest environmental, social and economic challenges by facilitating and praising positive impact, globally.

Mission

Our mission is to connect you with the people and projects that matter to you and facilitate positive change for both nature and society. We aim to provide you with the tools to make sustainable choices, measure your impact, and become a leader in sustainability.

Our Story

It all started on the sunny campus of Stanford University where our team met with one shared goal: to fix our vague and broken methods of measuring and achieving sustainable progress. Coming from all sides of the world we clearly identified the issue with how the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals were- or were not- being implemented and monitored. Various questions lingered such as how far we were towards achieving goals and what needed to be done to get there. So, in the fashion of the Bay Area and with the Stanford mindset we decided to create an organization ourselves that would solve exactly those issues we identified. Through months of coordination and hard work we managed to create an idea that resonated with everyone we spoke to, and the further we kept pushing the more support we managed to find. Thanks to the many supporters and excited backers we are now where we are: fighting to bring tangible impact to the forefront of business practices, empowering individuals to act, and creating communities around the most important causes everywhere. We are dedicated to make impact the most important status symbol. We are dedicated to Global Impact.

Core Values

A

Accountability

Accountability is accepting ownership and responsibility for one’s actions. At Global Impact, we want to foster integrity by holding each other accountable in order to honor our sustainable commitments. To instill this universal accountability, we must hold ourselves individually accountable. We take ownership of our actions and aim to continuously better them.

C

Collaboration

Together we are strongest. Only through a proper support system can real change take place. At Global Impact we do not only want to foster a community of change-makers, but also want to empower them. This mindset does not stop at our doors, but also extends to our partners and members of the communities we call home. We collaborate as a unified community in order to take care of our planet and one another.

T

Transparency

Transparency is about being honest and clear. Being transparent is a deliberate attempt to reveal all relevant information, participation, and decision-making in order to create a high level of trust. At Global Impact, we not only want to be transparent as a platform, company, and community but also as individuals. It is only by removing the physical and imaginary walls that separate us, that we can truly become unified in a mission to do good.

Founders Team

Tatiana Sharpe

Co-Founder & CEO

Tatiana ensures Global Impact’s vision and strategic operations. Her background in sustainable development began at a young age. She is known as Zimbabwe’s youngest author in history; at eight years old she wrote the book The Lonely Tiger, which teaches children about global issues and how to work with the world rather than against it. After the book was published, 100% of the profits went to empowering children in Zimbabwe to access education.

Tatiana received her BA in International Relations at King’s College London. After gaining work experience with various NGOs she is now a member of the global council for World Merit; an NGO in partnership with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In 2016 she was invited to speak at the United Nations in New York, delivering a speech associated to SDG 16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions.
